BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Arkansas Tech women's golf team put the finishing touches on their 2024-25 season on Thursday in the final round of stroke play at the DII National Championship Tournament.

Their appearance at the national championship was the eighth all-time for the program and the first since 2022.
In their final round on Thursday, the Golden Suns turned in their best round of the tournament as a team as they collectively shot five-over (293). Sophomore
Jaylee Castro was the lowest score of the round as she shot a one-under (71). Her final round saw her drop 10 strokes from her second round and was consistent with 12 pars, three birdies and two bogeys.
Behind Castro on Thursday was
Ellen Spigner. The junior would shoot even-par (72) for the second-straight round. That helped Spigner finish as the highest Golden Sun on the individual leaderboard as she tied for 32
nd with a three-round score of one-over (217).
The final three golfers in Tech's lineup,
Averi Mickelson,
Kylie Rehberger and
Mekky Winyarat, all shot three-over (75) in the final round. That helped all three improve on the individual leaderboard to finish their first time at the national championship.
