RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After qualifying out of the Central Region Tournament a week ago, the Arkansas Tech women's golf team is set to take part in the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship Tournament, which will be played at the par-72, 6,211-yard PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Three rounds Stroke play will open the championship and take place Tuesday, May 12 – Thursday, May 14 with 18 holes being played each day. Friday will feature the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of medal match play while the championship medal match will take place on Saturday, May 16.
The No. 34-ranked Golden Suns are one of 18 teams in the field competing. In the lineup for the Golden Suns will be
Ellen Spigner,
Jaylee Castro,
Jessie Norman,
Averi Mickelson, and
Maria Ruiz.
Laura Weber Bernardo serve as the substitute.
The Golden Suns will begin stroke play with tee times starting at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday. Ruiz will be the first to tee off with Mickelson going at 11:20 a.m., Norman at 11:30 a.m., Castro at 11:40 a.m. and Spigner at 11:50 a.m.
The Golden Suns will be grouped with No. 31-ranked Missouri-St. Louis and No. 10-ranked UT Tyler.
