FRISCO, Texas – A pair of Arkansas Tech women's golfers,
Jaylee Castro and
Ellen Spigner, received All-Central Region recognition from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for their play during the 2025-26 season.
For Castro, this is her first all-region honor while Spigner bolstered her total to four.
Both were previously named First Team All-GAC with Spigner being the Player of the Year. They also helped lead the Golden Suns to their first out-right conference championship since 2019 and the team's second-straight appearance at the NCAA National Championship Tournament.
A native of Kansas City, Castro, ended her junior season ranked No. 115 nationally and sixth in the region. She would post an adjusted scoring average of 75.2 over the course of 33 rounds played. Castro also set a program record for lowest round score with a 64 in her second round at the Grace Shin Invitational back in early October.
Spigner, who also was named First Team All-America by the WGCA this year, capped her senior season with a national ranking of No. 16 and a region ranking of No. 2. Over her 33 rounds played, Spigner had an adjusted scoring average of 73.4 and collected four individual victories, including the GAC Tournament.
She would also go on to set single-season records for Rounds Played (33), Rounds at/under par (13), Scoring average (73.15) and Low 54-hole score (205). A native of Nashville, Arkansas, Spigner also established career records in Rounds Played (125) and Rounds at/under par (27).
