FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's golf team completed the second round of the 2025 GAC Championship Tournament on Tuesday and are tied for third place after they matched their opening round score of 29-over (309).

The Golden Suns remain tied with Southwestern Oklahoma and both trails second-place Harding by eight strokes. Day one leader, Henderson State will stay in the lead going into the final round as they Reddies dropped five strokes in their second round and shot 15-over on Tuesday.
For the Golden Suns,
Jaylee Castro made the biggest jump up the individual leaderboard as she climbed eight spots and it tied for eighth following a second round score of four-over (74). Castro would make two less birdies in her second round, but also made six fewer bogeys and eight more pars.
Dropping a couple of spots on the leaderboard was
Kylie Rehberger, but the senior still had a solid round two as she shot seven-over (77) and is tied for 10th. Having made the only eagle among the field on hole No. 3 on Monday, Rehberger followed up with a birdie on the hole on Tuesday. It was one of her three birdies on the day.
Averi Mickelson and
Ellen Spigner were the remaining scorers for the Golden Suns on Tuesday. Mickelson would shoot a seven-over (77) to match Rehberger's round while Spigner turned in an 11-over (81).
The third and final round will be played on Wednesday. The Golden Suns will tee off starting at 9:20 a.m.
