RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2026 Academic All-District® team honorees for the at-large category, which includes men's and women's golf. In that release, it was revealed that a combined five Arkansas Tech golfers, Jaylee Castro, Landon Lawson, Averi Mickelson, Jacob Peetoom and Ellen Spigner earned the distinction.
 
All six exceeded the program's standards of excellence in the classroom being at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while also meeting the required minimum amounts of play by being in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events OR be in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
 
Castro, a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Tech and holds a 3.83 GPA.
 
Lawson, a graduate student from Fayetteville, Arkansas, earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2025 with a 3.97 GPA and recently finished his graduate degree in General Business at Tech with a 4.00 GPA.
 
Mickelson, a senior from Kansas City, Missouri recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration at Tech while sporting a 3.76 GPA.
 
Peetoom, a senior from Rogers, Arkansas, is majoring in Finance at Tech and holds a 3.93 GPA.
 
Spigner, a senior from Nashville, Arkansas, recently graduated with a degree in Agriculture Business at Tech while sporting a 3.53 GPA.
