TULSA, Okla. – Arkansas Tech senior golfer
Roby Cooper and the men's golf team both turned in third-place ties respectively at the NSU Men's Golf Classic.

Cooper, a native of Melbourne, Ark. shot rounds of one-under (70), five-under (66) and three-under (68). He would total 16 birdies for the tournament and had just six holes at bogey or higher. Cooper's overall stroke total of 204 tied for the second-lowest 54-hole tournament with current teammate,
Landon Lawson.
Cooper's 66 in round two was tied for the fourth-lowest single round score in Wonder Boys' history.
In addition to Cooper, the Wonder Boys got under-par performances from
Jacob Peetoom and
Luke Hanson. Peetoom would tie for 17
th with a three-round score of three-under (210). He would start out two-over in round one and then came back for a five-under (66) in the second round and closed out the tournament with an even-par (71).
Hanson, who had his best collegiate tournament, had a three-round score of one-under (212). His first round was his best as he shot a six-under (65), tying him for the third-lowest single-round score at Tech. That round, Hanson had eight birdies.
The Wonder Boys will now prepare for their next tournament, the Skip Wagnon Invitational. That event will be held Monday, October 6 – Tuesday, October 7 at the KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.
