ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Arkansas Tech men's golf team opened up play at the 2025 Central/Midwest Region Tournament on Thursday afternoon and ended the opening round tied for third with a team score of eight-over (292). This year's super region tournament is being played at the par-71, 6,596-yard St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.

The Wonder Boys are tied for third with No. 20-ranked Missouri S&T and both are two shots clear of fifth-place Concordia-St. Paul and Grand Valley State and two strokes back of second-place Central Missouri.
In their first round of action, the Wonder Boys' lineup was remarkably consistent with one another.
Jacob Peetoom and
Landon Lawson paced the team and are tied for 13
th with a one-over (72). The remaining three golfers,
Roby Cooper,
Shaun Jones and
Tobey Kim all were two strokes back of that to tie for 29
th individually.
Peetoom led the team in birdies with five while Lawson carded a pair of eagles in his first round.
The second round of action is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. for the Wonder Boys as Copper will be the first to tee off from hole no. 1. Every 12 minutes following that will see another Wonder Boy start their second round.
Landon Lawson is scheduled to be the last on the course with an 11:18 a.m. tee time.
