OFFICIAL RESULTS

GAC Tournament Champion (Landon Lawson)Lawson is now the fourth Wonder Boy to be the GAC Championship Tournament medalist. Additionally, it marks the fifth time overall for the program as Lawson joins the likes of Henry Frizzell (2022 & 2021), Andre Jacobs (2019) and Brian Belz (2013).

For the Wonder Boys, they now wait to see if they will be selected to the NCAA Central/Midwest Region Tournament. Selection for the tournament will be made public on NCAA.com on Friday, April 25. This year's Central/Midwest Region Tournament is being played May 8-10 at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.

In the final region rankings prior to the GAC Championship Tournament, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 6 in the Central Region and the top-10 ranked teams within the region will be selected for the Central/Midwest Regional Tournament.

Leading the field through 36 holes, the Wonder Boys faced furious performances from both Harding and Henderson State. Harding would shoot a staggering 11-under on Wednesday and at one point had taken the lead. Henderson also had an under-par final round with a four-under showing.

That helped the Reddies overtake the Wonder Boys, who collectively shot one-over on Wednesday, and win the team title by two strokes, finishing one-under for the tournament.

Leading the way for Tech was the aforementioned Lawson. On Wednesday, Lawson shot two-under and finished strong with three birdies and no bogeys on the back-nine. Finishing behind Lawson was Tobey Kim. The league Freshman of the Year shot a one-under (69) on Wednesday and finished one-under for the tournament to place fifth and earn All-Tournament honors.

GAC All-Tournament Team (Tobey Kim)Jacob Peetoom and Roby Cooper were the final. Two counting scores for Tech as each shot two-over (72). Peetoom would end up finishing in a tie for ninth while Cooper was tied for 18th.

Shaun Jones was one stroke back of his score counting on Wednesday, but the senior still finished the tournament in a tie for 13th.
