FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech men's golf team turned in the best overall team score of the tournament in the second round of the 2025 GAC Championship Tournament on Tuesday as they shot a three-under (277).

The sensational round for the Wonder Boys marked the only team round under par at the tournament thus far through 36 holes. Their six-stroke improvement from Monday's opening round has placed the Wonder Boys atop the team leaderboard at even-par overall (560) and three strokes ahead of second-place Henderson State.
Leading the charge for the Wonder Boys once more was
Landon Lawson. After his opening round of one-under (69) had Lawson tied for second, the junior went out on Tuesday and shot a three-under (67) to place himself atop the individual leaderboard.
After having a near flawless second round that featured only one bogey, four birdies and 13 pars, Lawson will enter the final round with a one-stroke lead.
Tobey Kim made the biggest jump up the individual leaderboard as he climbed seven spots and is tied for fifth following a round two score of two-under (68). Starting on the back-nine, Kim was two-over at the turn, but was on fire down the stretch and was four-under on the front-nine as he made birdie on holes three, four, six and nine.
Just one spot back of Kim on the individual leaderboard through two rounds of action is
Jacob Peetoom. Peetoom shot a one-over (71) on Tuesday and is tied for eighth at one-over (141) overall.
Shaun Jones was the final counting score on Tuesday as he also shot a one-over (71). Overall, Jones is tied for 11
th at three-over (143).
The third and final round of action will be played on Wednesday morning. The Wonder Boys will be in the final group to hit the course with tee times starting at 9:20 a.m.
