CLEVELAND, Miss. – The No. 48-ranked Arkansas Tech men's golf team continued their upward trajectory this spring and blew past the field at the 2025 Derrell Foreman Invitational, hosted by Delta State, winning the event by 27 strokes.
OFFICIAL RESULTS
All told, the Wonder Boys would shoot 27-under for the 54-hole tournament for a total stroke tally of 837. That tied the program record for lowest 54-hole tournament, which was set at the NSU Golf Classic back in September 2021. The team win was also the first for the Wonder Boys since they won the Super Region Preview back in October 2023.
In winning as a team, the Wonder Boys had several standout individual performances from their lineup. All five golfers would finish in the top-20, three placed in the top-10 while they also had the individual medalist and runner-up as well in
Jacob Peetoom and
Tobey Kim, respectively.
Peetoom's individual victory saw him overtake teammate Kim with an amazing final round score of seven-under (65). That eventual final score and victory did not happen for Peetoom until hole No. 18 where he made eagle on the par-3. In the previous two rounds, Peetoom had made par on that hole.
The thee-round total of 205 (-11) for Peetoom tied him for the second-lowest 54-hole tournament by a Wonder Boy in history. Additionally, his remarkable final round 65 tied for the third-lowest single round of golf in Tech history as well.
Kim, who previously won the Oldfield Classic outright, finished one stroke back of Peetoom with a 54-hole stroke total of 206, which is tied for the third-lowest score all-time at Tech.
Fresh off a runner-up finish individually at the Shadow Valley Invitational last week,
Landon Lawson recorded a second-straight top-10 finish as he shot even-par (216) to place in a tie for ninth.
Shaun Jones rounded out the scoring finish for Tech as he shot one-over (217) and placed in a tie for 12

The Wonder Boys will now have a week off of competition before taking part in the men's version of the Arkansas Collegiate. That is scheduled to take place March 24-25 at the Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado.
