Golden Suns finish 15th NCAA Central Region Championship

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's cross country team concluded their season on Saturday at the NCAA Central Region Championship in Joplin, Mo. The Golden Suns Would finish 15th among the 35-team field.
 
OFFICIAL RESULTS

Running a distance of 6K for the first time this season, the Golden Suns were led by Amaya Grant as she ran a PR time of 22:24.1 to place 54th overall out of the better than 230-runner field. Just a few seconds behind Grant was Audrey Hill. She would clock a time of 22:29.7 and finished 60th.
 
Avery Stanley was third to finish for Tech with a PR time of 22:40.9. She would finish 73rd overall. Peyton Carson (110th; 23:13.3), Ellie Akins (113th; 23:50.0), Sophia Goerlich (145th; 24:02.0) and Regan Jones (176th; 24:59.3) rounded out the race for Tech.
 
The team will now transition their training efforts to the track and field season, beginning first with the indoor season this winter and then the outdoor season in the spring.
