RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – A week after finishing runner-up at the Grace Shin Invitational, the Arkansas Tech women's golf team is back in action and will do so at the Midwest Classic, hosted by Central Missouri at the Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Mo.
The Golden Suns will be one of 14 teams overall and the only team from the GAC playing in the 54-hole event.
In the lineup for the Golden Suns will be
Jaylee Castro,
Ellen Spigner,
Averi Mickelson,
Jessie Norman and Laura Webster Bernardo. This is the third-straight tournament with this lineup. In addition to the scoring lineup, the Golden Suns will have a pair of golfers competing as individuals in the event with
Landry Addison and
Kasey Reichard filling those roles.
The tournament is slated to have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and the second round will occur shortly after the conclusion of round one. Tuesday's tee times will be determined after Monday's results.
In the opening round, the Golden Suns' lineup will be playing alongside Arkansas-Fort Smith, Missouri Western and Northeastern State. As individual golfers, Addison and Reichard will be competing against lineup players from Northwest Missouri, Washburn and Pittsburg State.
