EL DORADO, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech men's golf team concluded play at the Arkansas Collegiate on Tuesday and finished the event in seventh place.
FINAL RESULTS
In the final round, the Wonder Boys turned in a score 323 to give them a two-round total of 636. In placing seventh, the Wonder Boys were just four strokes back of the top-five and nine strokes back of runner-up, Northeastern State.
Leading the Wonder Boys in the final round was
Jackson Cole as he shot a four-over (76). That was a five-stroke improvement for Cole and it vaulted him 19 places up the individual leaderboard to place him in a tie for 15
th. It also spring-boarded Cole to the top of the Tech leaderboard as his two-round total of 157 led the team.
Luke Hanson had the second-lowest score of the day for the Wonder Boys as he shot an eight-over (80).
Oscar Darlington had the third-lowest counting score with an 11-over (83) while
Shaun Jones rounded out scoring with a 12-over (84) in the final round. Darlington would finish 19
th overall while Hanson was tied for 20
th and Jones tied for 32
nd.
The Wonder Boys will now prepare for their final tournament of the regular season as they will take part in the Natural State Classic starting on Monday, April 15. The two-day tournament will take place at the Cypress Creek Golf Club in Cabot, Ark.
