WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Arkansas Tech concluded their season today with a 10th-place finish at the Division II National Championship. The Golden Suns carded a total of 960 (+84) and tied with West Texas A & M. 
 
Freshman Jacqueline Klemm led the Suns with her card of 236 (+17), taking sole possession of 27th place.
 
Pia Nunbhakdi and Peerada Piddon both closed out their Golden Suns careers with top-40 finishes. Nunbhakdi carded a 32nd-place 238 (+19), and Piddon carded a 36th-place 239 (+20). 
 
Freshman Sydney Staton (247, +28, T62) and sophomore Allie Weiner (277, +58, 93) rounded out the Tech card. 
 
This is the second time the Suns have finished 10th in the nation and ties for the second-best finish in program history. The Suns finished in ninth place in 2014. 
 
The other Great American Conference team competing in the national championship, Southwestern Oklahoma State, advanced to head-to-head play with their tied-for-fourth finish of 938 (+62). 
 
The winner of the individual title was California State San Marcos' Jaime Jacob, whose total of 219 was the only even-with-par score of the tournament.
