AUSTIN, TX — Arkansas Tech took first place at the St. Edwards Invitational at Onion Creek Country Club Tuesday. 
 
The Golden Suns, who carded a first round score of 301 (+21), capped the second round with a 302 for a total combined score of 603 (+43).
 
The Suns were 17 shots ahead of their closest competitors, Southwest Oklahoma State and Rogers State University, who tied for second place at 620 (+60). 
 
Pia Nunbhakdi led the way for Tech by finishing second overall with a pair of 73's, giving her a total of 146 (+6). She was just two strokes behind the first place finisher, St. Mary's (TX)'s Regina Gonzalez (144). 
 
Peerada Piddon and Allie Weiner were close behind. Piddon capped her first round 72 with a second-round 78 and finished fourth overall. Weiner, meanwhile, improved on her first-round 79 with a second-round 73 and finished in a two-way tie for fifth overall (152).
 
Jacqueline Klemm also found herself in the top-20, carding a first-round 77 and a second-round 79 for a total of 156 and finished in a four-way tie for 17^th place.
 
Cintia Bolanos, who competed as an individual, carded a 158 (+18) and finished in a seven-way tie for 22^nd place. Makenzie Douglas rounded out the Tech card with a total of 160 (+20) and finished in 30^th place.
