CARMEL, Ind. – Arkansas Tech women's golf sits in fourth place after day one of the UIndy Invitational, 18 shots behind current leader Indianapolis. Jacqueline Klemm led the Suns in the opening round, as she currently sits in third place after carding two sub-par rounds.

Tech started the first round of the UIndy Invitational off with a score of 300 and followed with a round of 295, which was tied for the fifth-lowest round of the day.
 
Klemm opened the tournament with a 68 (-4) and followed a second round of 72 (E) for a total of 140 (-4). Peerada Piddon joins Klemm inside the top-10 as she sits in a tie for eighth after shooting a 73 (+1) in the opening round and a 72 (E) in the second round for a combined score of 145 (+1). Klemm has recorded the third most birdies in the tournament, while Piddon has recorded a tie for the tournament lead with 29 pars.

Tech returns to the course on Tuesday for the final round of the UIndy Invitational.
