RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech baseball will look for its fourth consecutive conference series victory this weekend, as the Wonder Boys host Southeastern Oklahoma State in a three-game series. Play begins in Russellville with a nine-inning game on Friday, April 7, at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader set for 1 p.m. Bash at the Ballpark is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m., and fans are encouraged to bring peanut butter to donate to River Valley Food 4 Kids.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Southeastern Oklahoma leads the all-times series, 16-9. The Savage Storm took two of three games last season and have won four of the last five over the Wonder Boys.
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (22-13, 17-4 GAC) enters the weekend riding a four-game win streak, including a three-game sweep over East Central last weekend. Tech followed the series win with a 10-3 victory over Henderson State on Tuesday. The Wonder Boys currently sit in second in the Great American Conference standings, two games behind No. 6 Southern Arkansas.
The Wonder Boys have scored at least 10 runs in four consecutive games for the first time since 2015 when Tech reached double-digits in five straight contests. In those four games Tech has hit .392 as a team, led by
Marcus Wilson's .476 average. Over the last eight games,
Kyle Gibbs leads the Wonder Boys with a .400 batting average.
Dylan McDearmon has hit a team-high .343 on the season and ranks ninth in Division II with 14 doubles.
Zach Klockowski follows with a .322 average this season while ranking second in the GAC with 33 runs batted in and seven home runs.
Arkansas Tech is currently the only team in the GAC with three starting pitchers ranked in the top 10 in the conference in earned-run average.
Geoffrey Birkemeier leads Tech's starting pitchers with a 3.19 earned-run average in 42.1 innings pitched this season.
Trent Armstrong follows with a 3.26 ERA in a team-high 58.0 innings, and
Kyle Wilson has a 3.31 earned-run average and has posted a 5-0 record. Wilson is the only pitcher in the conference with at least five wins and zero losses this season.
SCOUTING THE SAVAGE STORM
Southeastern Oklahoma State (9-19-1, 8-11 GAC) is coming off a three-game sweep over Harding last weekend, as head coach Mike Metheny became the NCAA Division II's all-time wins leader with his 1,315
th career victory. The Storm sits in seventh in the GAC standings.
The Savage Storm is hitting .256 as a team this season, while Southeastern ranks 11
th in the conference with a .304 opponent batting average. Hunter Harrison paces the Storm with a .330 batting average, six home runs and 24 runs batted in. Brett Akins is hitting .319 and has batted in 17 runs. Mike Wade leads Southeastern's starting pitchers with a 3.77 earned-run average in 31.0 innings this season. Hayden Grimes has started a team-high eight games and is 3-4 on the season with a 4.50 ERA.
