GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings collectively announced their Gold Glove Teams for all eight divisions of collegiate baseball and high school, and in that announcement, Arkansas Tech's
Brendyn Bard was selected as the top defensive third baseman in all of NCAA Division II.

The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners have been selected since 2007 in the collegiate and high school ranks and are selected by ABCA coaches committees at each level: NCAA Div. I, II & III, NAIA, NJCAA Div. I, II & III, Pacific Association Division, and high school.
In being named to the overall team for DII, Bard was also the Gold Glove Award winner for the Central Region, making him the second Wonder Boy to earn region Gold Glove acclaim, joining Josh Johnson who was named as a Central Region Gold Glove winner in the outfield in 2013. Nationally, however, Bard is the first to be named to a national Gold Glove team.
A three-year starter at third base for the Wonder Boys, Bard had his best defensive year at the hot corner in his senior season. In 126 chances, Bard committed just one error and had a fielding percentage of .992. He would record 34 putouts with 92 assists.
For his career, Bard posted a .959 fielding percentage and handled 354 chances.
