Played four seasons for coach Nate McCabe at Papillion-La Vista High School in Papillion, Nebraska, earning three letters. … 2013 all-state honorable mention pitcher. … Helped team to third-place finish in Class A state tournament as a senior in 2013. … Also played for Pinnacle Bank American Legion team, going 6-1 as a pitcher to help team to Nebraska runner-up finish and Central Plains regional appearance in 2012.
