RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Following their fourth consecutive conference-series victory and a walk-off win in 10 innings on Tuesday, the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys will be on the road this weekend taking on Arkansas-Monticello in a three-game series. Play is set to begin in Monticello with a doubleheader on Friday, April 14, at noon, followed by one nine-inning game scheduled for noon on Saturday.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Arkansas Tech leads the all-times series against UAM, 99-43. The Boll Weevils defeated Tech in the previous two contests, however, including a 5-2 victory over the Wonder Boys on March 21.
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (25-14, 19-5 GAC) has taken seven of eight Great American Conference series this season, after starting the season 9-0 in conference play for the first time in program history. Tech's latest GAC series came last weekend, with the Wonder Boys winning two of three games against Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Wonder Boys then hosted Lyon on Tuesday and defeated the Scots, 6-5, on a game-ending double by
Seth Wheeler in the bottom of the 10
th inning. Arkansas Tech currently sits in second in the GAC standings, three games behind No. 4 Southern Arkansas.
Over the last 10 games, the Wonder Boys have posted a .342 batting average. Seven of nine primary starters have hit at least .300 over the last 10 games, as
Dylan McDearmon leads Tech during that time with a .455 average and 10 runs scored.
Marcus Wilson has hit .400 in the previous 10 games, including a walk-off home run against Southeastern Oklahoma last Friday. On the season,
Zach Klockowski is second in the conference with eight home runs and third with 35 runs batted in. McDearmon leads the GAC and ranks 12
th in Division II with 15 doubles.
The Wonder Boys and UAM are currently the only the teams in the GAC with all three primary starting pitchers keeping an earned-run average under 4.00.
Kyle Wilson has kept a 3.05 ERA and is the only player in the GAC with at least five wins and zero losses.
Trent Armstrong has pitched a team-high 59.1 innings and has a 3.64 earned-run average.
Geoffrey Birkemeier has a 5-4 record on the season with a 3.35 ERA.
Quentin Bowling leads Tech with a 1.52 earned-run average in 23.2 innings, and
Jesse Harbin ranks second in the GAC with six saves.
SCOUTING THE BOLL WEEVILS
Arkansas-Monticello (23-12, 18-6 GAC) has won its previous six games, including a three-game sweep over Ouachita last weekend. The Weevils are third in the GAC standings, one game behind Arkansas Tech.
Sean Wagner leads UAM's offense with a .346 batting average and 31 runs batted in. Nick Piraino is hitting .341, and Brian Ray boasts a .331 average with six home runs and 30 RBI. The Weevils are third in the GAC in batting average, hitting .289 as a team. Arkansas-Monticello is led on the mound by Grant Black, who is 5-3 with a 3.46 earned-run average. Black has pitched four complete games and leads the conference with 67.2 innings pitched. Kris Brown and Braden Chambers follow with a 3.55 ERA and 3.92 ERA, respectively.
