ARKANSAS TECH VS. SOUTHEASTERN OKLA. NOTES

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Tech will look to remain in a tie for first place in the Great American Conference standings this Saturday, as the Wonder Boys host Southeastern Oklahoma State. The game will be featured on ESPN3 as part of the NCAA Division II Football Showcase. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05 p.m.

Arkansas Tech (7-2, 7-2 GAC) sits in a tie with Ouachita for first place in the GAC with two weeks remaining in the regular season. The Wonder Boys enter the weekend riding a three-game win streak, including a 38-10 win over East Central in Ada, Okla. last Saturday. Over the last three contests, Arkansas Tech has outscored its opponents by an average of nearly 34 points. 

The Wonder Boys boast the best scoring offense in the conference, averaging 42.4 points per game. Tech also leads the GAC in scoring defense, allowing 18.6 points per game. Arkansas Tech's success on both sides of the ball has come from a turnover margin that ranks third in Division II and first in the conference. 

Arkansas Tech is led on offense by Ty Reasnor, who ranks third in the conference in passing touchdowns (17), passing yards per game (218.8) and points responsible for per game (16.0). Reasnor is just 31 pass yards away from surpassing 2,000 for the season. Defensively, KJ Reid leads Tech and ranks second in the GAC with 8.7 tackles per game, and Reid currently leads Division II with five recovered fumbles.

Southeastern Oklahoma State (6-3, 6-3 GAC) started the season 6-0 but has dropped its previous three contests. The Savage Storm are sixth in the conference in both scoring offense and scoring defense. Southeastern ranks second in the GAC, just behind Arkansas Tech, in pass defense efficiency, but the Storm lead the conference with 13 interceptions this season.
