RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech second-year defensive back Sean Berry has been named as the latest Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.

A native of Wylie, Texas, Berry helped lead a defensive effort by the Wonder Boys that held Southern Nazarene to a season-low 148 rushing yards in Tech's 47-3 road win this past Saturday.

In that game, Berry recorded his second defensive touchdown in as many weeks, forcing a fumble on SNU quarterback Maddox Olatunde before returning it 39 yards for six. Berry's touchdown made it a four-possession game at the time.

He would end up with a team-high seven total tackles and half a sack in the winning effort.
