LAKE ELMO, Minn. – Rebecka Surtevall shot an opening-round 71 (-1) to claim the opening-round lead, while Taylor Kline carded an opening-round 73 (+1) to lead the No. 20 Arkansas Tech Golden Suns golf team to an opening-round lead on day one of the NCAA Division II Women's Super Region 3 Championship.

The Golden Suns are knotted with Central Oklahoma, as both teams turned in opening-round 300 scores.

Caroline Fredensborg sits in a 17th-place tie after shooting an opening-round 77 (+5), while Megan Jeffery is tied for 20th after shooting a 79 (+7). Jessica Sachs rounded out the team scores with an 80 (+8).

The Golden Suns and Central Oklahoma are three strokes ahead of Henderson State (303), while Northeastern State (304), and Augustana (308) trail closely. The top 16 individual golfers are within five strokes of Surtevall.

The Golden Suns will continue play at the NCAA Division II Women's Super Region 3 Championship on Monday.
