MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. – The No. 32-ranked Arkansas Tech women's golf team concluded their regular season slate of tournaments on a high note on Tuesday as they won the team title at the Spring Region Preview, hosted by Central Missouri at the Shangri-La Country Club.

It is the team's second win this season, joining their victory at the Tulsa Cup to close out their fall slate back in late October.
At their regular season finale, the Golden Suns bested the field by 10 strokes as No. 46 Central Oklahoma and No. 45 Southwestern Oklahoma were both tied for second at 28-over. The Golden Suns would post rounds of 295, 288 and 299.
Three Golden Suns would place in the top-10 as
Ellen Spigner finished third while
Jaylee Castro was tied for fourth and
Averi Mickelson was tied for ninth.
Spigner, the No. 15-ranked women's golfer nationally heading into the tournament, would finish one-under as she had rounds of 71, 70 and 74. Castro, the No. 96-ranked golfer, went three-over for the tournament and had rounds of 73, 72 and 74. Mickelson was just two shots back of Castro with rounds of 77, 71 and 73.
The Golden Suns will now turn their attention to the upcoming Great American Conference Championship Tournament. The three-day event is scheduled to start on Monday, April 13 and conclude on Wednesday, April 15 with all three rounds being played at the Stone Creek Course within the Page Belcher Golf Club in Jenks, Okla.
