RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – On the eve of the 2026 Great American Conference Baseball Championship Tournament, the GAC announced its annual all-conference team and superlative awards for baseball. In that announcement, Tech had 10 players honored for their accomplishments on the field while 16 received academic plaudits.

Highlighted among Tech's representation were a trio of First Team All-GAC selections in
Creighton Jacobitz (SP),
Kirby Jenkins (OF) and
Eric Woodley (RP).
Daniel Hutchison (SP) and
Cole Dawson were Second Team All-GAC while
Ashton Greenlee (RP),
Derek Rockett (UTL) and
Tyler Sardelli (1B) were Honorable Mention All-GAC selections.
Additionally, the Wonder Boys had ¾ of their infield earn GAC All-Defensive Team acclaim as Dawson made the list at shortstop alongside
Brendyn Bard at third base. Second baseman
Drew Vega was the only player on the all-defensive team to be a unanimous selection.
Off the field,
John Witt headlined the academic haul for the Wonder Boys as he was a GAC Elite Scholar-Athlete thanks to an unblemished 4.0 GPA in Finance. Landing on the GAC Academic Honor Roll were Bard,

The Wonder Boys are set to open the 2026 GAC Baseball Championship Tournament as the No. 2-seed and will take on No. 7-seed Ouachita Baptist in the first game on Thursday, April 30. First-pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. from Majestic Park in Hot Springs.
