LEADING OFF
Done with their slate of home series this regular season, the Arkansas Tech baseball team will be on the road for the final two weekends, starting first with a road series at Oklahoma Baptist.

The series is scheduled to start with a single game on Saturday afternoon starting at 4 p.m. and conclude with a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.

Historically, the Wonder Boys and Bison have met 35 times before their clash this weekend. Oklahoma Baptist holds a 20-15 lead in the series.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys enters the weekend series at 25-18 overall and are 19-8 in the GAC. They are coming off a series sweep at home against Southern Nazarene this past weekend.

Statistically, the Wonder Boys are hitting .271 as a team (361-for-1,330) with 262 runs scored, 74 doubles, eight triples and 25 home runs.
Kirby Jenkins currently leads the team in batting average at .336 (49-for-146).
Jenkins has also been the biggest power threat for the Wonder Boys as he leads the team with a .651 slugging percentage thanks to 13 doubles, three triples and nine home runs.
Jenkins also leads the team in RBIs with 47 and runs scored with 39.

On the mound, the Wonder Boys have a team ERA of 5.11 and have struck out 285 batters in 346.2 innings of work.

Cole Dickson,
Creighton Jacobitz and
Daniel Hutchison all made starts over Tech's most-recent weekend against Southern Nazarene and figure to be among the rotation this weekend against Oklahoma Baptist.

Jacobitz is 6-4 with a 3.61 ERA and has 53 strikeouts in 62.1 innings.
Hutchison is 6-5 with a 4.94 ERA and has 40 strikeouts in 51.0 innings.
Dickson is 4-3 with a 5.54 ERA and has 49 strikeouts in 50.1 innings.

Leading the Wonder Boys once more is
Dave Dawson. The all-time winningest coach in Tech Baseball history,
Dawson enters his 17th year in the dugout for the Wonder Boys. In his previous 16 seasons,
Dawson has guided amassed a 482-334 record. He has also had nine seasons with 30 or more wins which includes the 2014 season in which he led the team a program-record 44 wins and hosting rights for that year's Central Region Tournament.

Overall,
Dawson is in his 21st year as a head baseball coach at the collegiate level as he spent four years as head coach at Kansas Wesleyan and totaled 118 wins. His combined win total at Tech and Kansas Wesleyan have him with a career record of 625-443.

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA BAPTIST
Oklahoma Baptist enters the weekend series against Tech at 18-21 overall and are 11-16 in the GAC. They have lost four-straight games and are most-recently coming off being swept on the road at Harding this past weekend.

Offensively, the Bison are hitting .337 as a team (430-for-1,276) with 320 runs scored, 101 doubles, eight triples and 56 home runs. They are led in hitting by
Tui Amosa at .417 (60-for-144).
Amosa has also been the biggest power threat for the Bison as he leads the team in slugging percentage at .757 thanks to 17 doubles, one triple and 10 home runs.
Lucas Schaefer also leads the team in RBIs with 41 while
Amosa leads the team in runs scored with 43.

On the mound, the Bison have an 8.65 team ERA and have struck out 310 batters in 300.2 innings of work.

The Bison used a weekend rotation of
Marcus Peters,
Grayson Connell and
Teagon Standlee in their weekend series against Harding. Those three figure to be in the mix for the rotation against Tech.

Peters is 4-2 with an 8.23 ERA and has 55 strikeouts in 47.0 innings.
Connell is 2-2 with a 6.07 ERA and has 33 strikeouts in 26.2 innings.
Standlee is 2-3 with a 5.53 ERA and has 19 strikeouts in 27.2 innings.

Chris Cox, who is in his seventh season as head coach at his alma mater, Oklahoma Baptist. In his time at OKB,
Cox is 174-130 overall.
