The Arkansas Tech baseball team will be on the road for their midweek game and will take on Union.

The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.

Historically, the Wonder Boys and Bulldogs have met 11 times before their clash on Tuesday. Tech currently leads the series 10-1.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys enters the game 18-13 overall and are coming off a three-game sweep at home over East Central this past weekend. Over the course of those three games, the Wonder Boys scored 41 runs on 40 hits.

Statistically, the Wonder Boys are hitting .278 as a team (269-for-969) with 202 runs scored, 48 doubles, six triples and 21 home runs.
Kirby Jenkins currently leads the team in batting average at .355 (39-for-110).
Jenkins has also been the biggest power threat for the Wonder Boys as he leads the team with a .737 slugging percentage thanks to 11 doubles, three triples and eight home runs.
Jenkins also leads the team in RBIs with 42 and runs scored with 29.

On the mound, the Wonder Boys have a team ERA of 5.24 and have struck out 185 batters in 250.2 innings of work.

Cole Dickson,
Creighton Jacobitz and
Daniel Hutchison all made starts over Tech's most-recent weekend against East Central and figure to not see action against Union.

Derek Rockett has started the last three midweek games. He is currently 2-2 with a 5.95 ERA and has 17 strikeouts in 19.2 innings.
Zach Moss and
Vaughn O'Leary have also started midweek game this season.

Leading the Wonder Boys once more is
Dave Dawson. The all-time winningest coach in Tech Baseball history,
Dawson enters his 17th year in the dugout for the Wonder Boys. In his previous 16 seasons,
Dawson has guided amassed a 482-334 record. He has also had nine seasons with 30 or more wins which includes the 2014 season in which he led the team a program-record 44 wins and hosting rights for that year's Central Region Tournament.

Overall,
Dawson is in his 21st year as a head baseball coach at the collegiate level as he spent four years as head coach at Kansas Wesleyan and totaled 118 wins. His combined win total at Tech and Kansas Wesleyan have him with a career record of 618-438.

SCOUTING UNION
Union enters the game against Tech at 11-18 overall. They are coming off being swept on the road at West Florida this past weekend. Prior to the weekend, Union beat Ouachita Baptist in a midweek game on the road, 5-3.

Offensively, the Bulldogs are hitting .265 as a team (249-for-939) with 205 runs scored, 43 doubles, seven triples and 15 home runs. They are led in hitting by
Elijah Ramsey at .358 (38-for-106).
Ramsey has also been the biggest power threat for the Bulldogs as he leads the team in slugging percentage at .528 thanks to nine doubles and three home runs.
Ramdey also leads the team in RBIs with 30 while
Dyllon Barrett leads the team in runs scored with 23.

On the mound, the Bulldogs have a 7.15 team ERA and have struck out 234 batters in 241.2 innings of work.

The Bulldogs used a weekend rotation of
Lane Evans,
Takuma Sato and
Nathan Myers in their weekend series against West Florida. Those three figure to not see action against Tech.

Cole Lannom made the most-recent midweek start for the Bulldogs in their 5-3 win at Ouachita.
Lannom would pitch 2.0 innings, allow two hits and one run while walking one and striking out one.

The Bulldogs are led by
Casey McGehee, who is in his fourth season as head coach at Union. In his time at Union,
McGehee is 63-107.
