The Arkansas Tech baseball team continues their season-opening stretch of road games on Tuesday with a non-conference game at Arkansas-Monticello.

The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. from Weevils Field at Union Bank Park .

Historically, the Wonder Boys and Boll Weevils have met 174 times before their game on Tuesday. The series started back in 1948, and Tech holds a 114-60 lead in the series.

The Wonder Boys enter play 1-6 overall after dropping all four games of their games at No. 2-ranked Central Missouri over the weekend.

Kirby Jenkins currently leads the team in batting average at .292 (7-for-24).
Levi Martin has been the early power threat for the Wonder Boys as he leads the team with a .500 slugging percentage thanks to a pair of doubles and a home run.
Weston Johnston leads the team in RBIs with six while
Jenkins and
Martin are the team-leaders in runs scored with five.

Leading the Wonder Boys once more is
Dave Dawson. The all-time winningest coach in Tech Baseball history,
Dawson enters his 17th year in the dugout for the Wonder Boys. In his previous 16 seasons,
Dawson has guided amassed a 483-340 record. He has also had nine seasons with 30 or more wins which includes the 2014 season in which he led the team a program-record 44 wins and hosting rights for that year's Central Region Tournament.

Overall,
Dawson is in his 21st year as a head baseball coach at the collegiate level as he spent four years as head coach at Kansas Wesleyan and totaled 118 wins. His combined win total at Tech and Kansas Wesleyan have him with a career record of 601-431.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO
Arkansas-Monticello opened their 2026 season last weekend going 1-3 in a four-game series against Northwest Missouri. They would drop the first three games before salvaging the finale, 6-5.

Offensively, the Boll Weevils are hitting .228 as a team (26-for-114) with 18 runs scored, five doubles, and four home runs. After the first weekend of action, the Boll Weevils are led in hitting by
Beau Kuttenkuler leading the way at .375 (3-for-8).
Camden Tanner leads the team in slugging percentage at .667 thanks to a pair of doubles.
Daniel Lizzarraga and
Darcy Barry are tied for the team-lead in RBIs with three.
Lizzarraga leads the team in runs scored with four.
