Golden Suns golf back in action at DBU Classic

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – After a three-week break from their first tournament of the fall, the Arkansas Tech women's golf team is back in action this week, competing in the Dallas Baptist Classic, which is being held at the Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas.

The Golden Suns will be one of 15 teams overall and one of three teams from the GAC playing in the 54-hole event.

In the lineup for the Golden Suns will be Jaylee Castro, Ellen Spigner, Averi Mickelson, Jessie Norman and Laura Webster Bernardo. The first four played in Tech's initial tournament back in early September, but this will be the collegiate debut for Webster Bernardo, the freshman from Illingen, Germany.

The tournament is slated to have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Monday with the second round starting shortly after the conclusion of round one. On Monday, the Golden Suns will be playing alongside Rogers State, Southern Arkansas and individual golfers from UT Tyler, North Georgia and Dallas Baptist.

Tuesday's tee times will be determined after Monday's results.
