FIRST SERVE
Off and running in 2025, the Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to hit the road once again this weekend and will play three matches as part of this year's Denton Volleyfest, hosted by Texas Woman's University. The Golden Suns will play one match on Friday, September 12 and two and on Saturday, September 13.

Friday's match will see the Golden Suns take on Southern New Hampshire at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Golden Suns will take on host Texas Woman's at 11:30 a.m. and then play UT Tyler at 4:30 p.m. later that day.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns are off to a 1-3 start to their season after opening last weekend at the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Fort Hays State. At that invitational, Tech played Northwest Missouri, Fort Hays State, Rockhurst and Cameron. The Golden Suns were competitive in all four matches and won at least one set in each of the final three matches.

Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 12.7 kills/set and have a .166 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 25 kills and are led by
Henley Hooks and her 45 kills.
Erika Hernandez has the highest attack percentage on the team at .313 (27k-64att-7err).

The Golden Suns have split time at setter between their three
Aspen Jankowski,
Emma Kiser and
Kenzie Garrett. All three have at least 35 assists with Jankowski currently leading the team with 71.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Penmen are off to an 0-2 start to their season after opening their season at home with a pair of matches against Felician University and the University of Minnesota-Crookston. SNHU was swept in both of the matches. They will have played one match prior to taking on Tech as they will play UT Tyler at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Through one weekend of play, the Penmen are averaging 5.7 kills/set and have a .038 team attack percentage. They are led in kills by
Sophie Chevalier and
Katherine Blinn at nine kills apiece.

The Penmen have split time at setter between
Amanda Burgos and
Brooke Vaughn. Burgos currently leads the team with 18 assists while Vaughn has 12.

Defensively the Penmen are averaging 12.5 digs/set and 1.5 blocks per set. Four different players have double-digit dig totals with

TEXAS WOMAN'S
Invitation hosts, Texas Woman's is off to a 2-2 start to their season after opening their season on the West Coast at the Azuza Pacific Tournament and the Golden Eagle Classic. The Pioneers would split the matches at each event with both wins being 3-1 decisions and the losses being 3-0 shutouts.

TWU will have played two matches prior to their contest with Tech, taking on Arkansas-Monticello and UT Tyler on Friday.

Through one weekend of play, the Pioneers are averaging 11.3 kills/set and have a .146 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 20 kills and are led by
Myracie Stockman and her 36 kills.
Kenn Jean-Louis has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .333 (17k-42att-3err).

The Patriots is off to a 1-3 start to their season after opening their season at home as hosts of the Patriot Classic. The Patriots would play a pair of top-10 teams over the weekend, losing to No. 5 Ferris State, 3-1 and No. 7 Central Oklahoma, 3-0. They would also fall to Ouachita Baptist 3-1 before closing out the weekend with a 3-1 win over Mississippi College.

Through one weekend of play, the Patriots are averaging 13.7 kills/set and have a .172 team attack percentage. They have three players with at least 30 kills and are led by
