As an ITA All-Academic Team, the Golden Suns were among a list of 104 DII women's tennis teams to receive the honor. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, a program must have a team GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative GPA for the current academic year.
On the individual Scholar-Athlete side, the ITA requires a player have a 3.50 GPA or higher for the current academic year. The six Golden Suns to meet that requirement were:
Meaghan Butler,
Nabilah Dunn,
Elis Gergel,
Melanie Griffiths,
Maggie Holcomb and
Natalya Montoya.
For Butler, Griffiths and Holcomb, it is their third honor, while Dunn, Gergel and Montoya are first-time recipients.
