EDMOND, Okla. – Making their fourth NCAA regional tournament appearance all-time and the first since 2015, the Arkansas Tech women's tennis team had their 2026 season come to an end in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Central Region Tournament as they fell to No. 3-seed Washburn, 4-0.
The Golden Suns were competitive in doubles action, but fell just short, losing at No. 2 and No. 3 while their nationally-ranked No. 29 top-flight doubles pairing of
Elis Gergel and
Rebecca Arnold's match went unfinished.
In singles action,
Natalya Montoya won her first set at No. 4, 6-4, but her match went unfinished. Washburn was able to pick up straight-set wins at No. 6, No. 3 and No. 2 to bring the match to clinch.
The Golden Suns end the year 12-8 overall and GAC Tournament Champions for the second time.
