BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Arkansas Tech women's golf team made their first appearance at the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament since 2021 on Tuesday as they played the first round of this year's event out at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

Through the first 18 holes, the Golden Suns are 16
th after they has a team score of 16-over (303).
Ellen Spigner led the team in the first round as she shot a one-over (73). In her round, Spigner had four birdies and is currently tied for 35
th.
Kylie Rehberger continued her strong postseason run with a opening round score of two-over (74). Tied for 48
th individually, Rehberger had three birdies in her round.
Averi Mickelson and
Jaylee Castro rounded out scoring for the Golden Suns. Mickelson would shot four-over (78) to tie for 69
th while Castro shot eight-over (80) to tie for 89
th.
The Golden Suns will now prepare for their second round of competition on Wednesday morning. Tee times begin at 9:30 a.m. (CT) for the Golden Suns with
Mekky Winyarat the first on the course. Every 10 minutes after will be another tee time and Spigner will be the last out with a 10:10 a.m. (CT) scheduled tee time.
