TIPPING OFF
Coming off their first win of the season on Wednesday, the Arkansas Tech men's basketball team is set to play their final road non-conference game of the season on Friday afternoon as they are at Missouri Western.

This will be fifth meeting all-time between Tech and Missouri Western. Missouri Western has won all previous four games with the most-recent coming last year.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Wonder Boys are off to a 1-3 start to their season and are coming off a 65-60 win at home against Northeastern State this past Wednesday.

Statistically, the Wonder Boys average 72.3 ppg and rank 10th in the GAC. On the defensive end of the court, the Wonder Boys rank 11th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 78.8 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Wonder Boys are eighth in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .444 (104-of-234). Their opponents are shooting at a .434 mark (102-of-235) to rank seventh.

From beyond-the-arc, the Wonder Boys shoot at a clip of .309 (30-of-97) to rank ninth in the GAC while their opponents make three-pointers at a mark of .320 (33-of-103) to rank eighth. From the free throw line, the Wonder Boys shoot .671 as a team (51-of-76) to rank eighth.

Sam Bradford and his 13.5 ppg.

Mark Downey, who is in his sixth season back on the sidelines at Tech after a 10-year hiatus. In his first stint,
Downey patrolled the sidelines at Tech for four seasons from 2006-07 - 2009-10. In his final season,
Downey guided the Wonder Boys to a program-record 30 wins and during that season, the Wonder Boys were ranked No. 1 in NCAA DII for the first time ever.

Downey has amassed a 148-114 record. Overall,
Downey is in his 19th season as a head coach and has career record of 314-220.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFONS
Missouri Western is off to a 5-2 start to their season. They have won their last two games with the most-recent being an 82-56 win on the road at William Jewell this past Tuesday.

Statistically, the Griffons average 78.0 ppg and rank 10th in the Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA). On the defensive end of the court, the Griffons rank 10th in the league in scoring defense, giving up an average of 71.9 ppg. In terms of field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense, the Griffons are 13th in the conference as they shoot at an overall clip of .449 (205-of-457) and allow their opponents to post a .445 mark (195-of-438) to rank 10th.
