RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Tech junior outside hitter
Savannah Meyer has been named as the latest Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.
It is the second GAC weekly award this season for Meyer and the third career.
A native of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Meyer was the offensive catalyst that led the Golden Suns to a pair of impressive 3-0 sweeps over the weekend.
Overall, Meyer totaled 25 kills for a 4.17 kill/set average and did so extremely efficiently from the outside hitter position with a .447 attack percentage thanks to just four attack errors. Meyer would add 17 digs to her ledger for an average of 2.83/set and recorded a double-double against Oklahoma Baptist.
