FIRST SERVE
The Arkansas Tech volleyball team is set to make their first tour of Oklahoma this weekend as they will be on the road at Southwestern Oklahoma on Thursday, October 16 and then at Northwestern Oklahoma on Friday, October 17.
 
The Southwestern Oklahoma match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. on Thursday while the Northwestern Oklahoma match is slated for a 4 p.m. start on Friday.

TECH(NICALLY) SPEAKING
The Golden Suns enter the weekend at 9-8 overall and 5-2 in the GAC. Tech is coming off a pair of impressive 3-0 sweeps at home last weekend against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist.
 
Offensively, the Golden Suns are averaging 13.3 kills/set and have a .218 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 130 kills and are led by Savannah Meyer and her 185 kills. Erika Hernandez has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .387 (143k-2300att-27err).
 
The Golden Suns have split time at setter between their three Aspen Jankowski, Emma Kiser and Kenzie Garrett. All three have at least 175 assists with Jankowski currently leading the team with 229.
 
Defensively the Golden Suns are averaging 16.9 digs/set and 1.7 blocks per set. Samantha Wojtowicz leads the team in digs with 266. Five different Golden Suns have registered double-digit blocks thus far with four having at least 20.0. Erika Hernandez currently leading the team with 42.0.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA
Southwestern Oklahoma enters the weekend 7-12 overall and 5-2 in GAC play. The Bulldogs are coming off a loss in their last match, losing 3-0 on the road at Midwestern State in non-conference action this past Tuesday. Last weekend, SWOSU went 1-1 in their Arkansas swing, losing 3-1 at Ouachita Baptist and then winning 3-2 at Henderson State.
                                                                                                                              
Coming into play against Tech, the Bulldogs are averaging 12.1 kills/set and have a .188 team attack percentage. They have four players with at least 100 kills and are led in kills by Paris Patterson with 190. Katja Blanchat has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .256 (87k-238att-err).
 
The Bulldogs have used a primary setter in Cameron Turner. She currently has 531 of the team's 779 assists. Mauldin has registered 30 or more assists in a match eight times this season.

NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA
Northwestern Oklahoma enters the weekend 3-15 overall and 1-6 in GAC play. They will have played Harding at home prior to taking on Tech. Before taking on Harding, the Rangers have lost four-straight, all in conference play.
                                                                                                                              
Coming into play this weekend, the Rangers are averaging 10.0 kills/set and have a .144 team attack percentage. They have two players with at least 100 kills and are led in kills by Ece Ozdemir with 169. Ozdemir also has the highest attack percentage on the team among prominent attackers at .201 (169k-513att-66err).
 
The Rangers have used a primary setter in Mikayla White. She currently has 434 of the team's 570 assists. White has registered 30 or more assists in a match six times this season.
