RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The NCAA released its second regional rankings for Division II baseball on Wednesday and the Arkansas Tech baseball team was slotted fifth.

The Wonder Boys are one of five teams from the Great American Conference in the rankings and are directly in the middle, behind both Southern Arkansas (No. 3) and Ouachita (No. 4) and in front of both Arkansas-Monticello (No. 9) and Henderson State (No. 10).
There will be one final ranking release ahead of the actual regional selection. The final ranking will be released on Wednesday, May 10 while the regional selections will be held on Sunday, May 14.
The Wonder Boys are currently 31-18 overall and the No. 3-seed in the upcoming GAC Tournament. As the No. 3-seed, they are set to host No. 6-seed Oklahoma Baptist in a best-of-three series this coming weekend. The winner of the series will advance to the next round of the GAC Tournament, which will be a four-team, double-elimination tournament taking place at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Ark.
