RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech women's tennis team is set to begin the spring portion of their 2022-23 season this Saturday afternoon on the road at Ouachita. The dual match will be a non-conference affair that is slated to start at 1 p.m.
While this is the first action of the spring for the Golden Suns, Ouachita has already played a pair of matches and have come away with shutout wins in each. Both matches were played against in-state Division III opponents in Hendrix and Ozarks, so the match with Tech will be Ouachita's first against a Division II foe.
The Golden Suns enter their spring season with a bolstered roster from the fall with the mid-year additions of
Sofia Beggiatto (Cordoba, Argentina) and
Shivani Kaligotla (Hyderbad, India). Those two join a roster of nine that include 2022 All-GAC players
Lea Grinberg,
Daniela Baez,
Aastha Dargude and
Madalena Amil.
Following their match with Ouachita, the Golden Suns will prepare for their spring home opener on Wednesday, February 15 against Harding. That match will also be a non-conference contest.
