RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, Bash at the Ballpark is set to return this year and will take place on Saturday, April 2, out at Baswell Field.
Admission to Bash at the Ballpark and the game will be free and open to the public. The event will begin at 11 a.m.
Some of the scheduled activities taking place will be a meet-and-greet with Jerry the Bulldog, FREE chicken, bump and jumps & snow cones, FREE t-shirts to the first 50 kids and a Wonder Boys' baseball team autograph session from 11:35 a.m. - Noon.
Kids ages 5-12 will also be eligible to sign up for a chance to throw out the first-pitch of the game.
Founded in 2014, Bash at the Ballpark is an annual event presented by the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce that brings a carnival atmosphere to a Wonder Boys' home baseball game.
First pitch for the Wonder Boys' game against Ouachita Baptist University is scheduled for 1 p.m. that day
"After a two-year hiatus, we are thrilled to bring this event back to a Wonder Boy baseball game," said Angela Bonds, director of leadership development for the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce. "We are looking forward to seeing families and students for some outside fun. This is always a great collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce, the business community and Arkansas Tech."
Bash at the Ballpark 2022 sponsors include Arkansas Tech University, Chambers Bank, Friendship Community Care, Sherwood Urgent Care, Tyson, EAB Russellville, First State Bank, Feltner's Athletes Corner, McAlister's Deli and Russellville Mountain Mudd.
