LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the fifth consecutive week, the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team appeared in the American Volleyball Coaches Association, coming in at No. 18, the AVCA released Wednesday afternoon.
The Golden Suns are currently 5-1 in Great American Conference play, after their most recent win over Cotton Blossoms. Arkansas Tech took down Arkansas-Monticello in four sets on Tuesday night in Steelman Fieldhouse. The Golden Suns were led by a trio of attackers with double-digit kills.
Rilie Vote led the team with 13 kills, followed by
Addison Masters with 11 kills and
Haylee Paladini with 10.
Emily Ragsdale joined Paladini with four blocks each and
Madison Grantham controlled the back row with 30 digs.
Brianna Merkel notched her fifth double-double of the season with 35 assists and 16 digs.
On Thursday, the Golden Suns will take on Southern Arkansas for the first time this season with first serve set for 6 p.m. in Magnolia.
