RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - After consecutive weekends of non-conference action to open the 2019 season, the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys will begin play in the Great American Conference this weekend against Ouachita in Arkadelphia, Ark. The Wonder Boys will face the Tigers in a noon doubleheader on Saturday with a single game on Sunday at noon.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Wonder Boys hold an 87-65-1 advantage in the all-time series that began in 1912. Arkansas Tech won three of the four matchups last season, capped with a 10-6 win in Arkadelphia, Ark. on Mar. 27.
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (3-5) is coming off a tough road trip to Oklahoma, as Tech dropped all four of its contests. The Wonder Boys fell 5-4 to Drury and were swept by Central Oklahoma (7-6, 10-1, 7-5). Tech will look to find its way back into the win column as they begin conference play.
Riley Hickerson leads the Wonder Boys with 14 hits and a .452 batting average this season. He has recorded two or more hits in five of eight games, and he joins
Dylan McDearmon,
Korey Thompson and
Britt Stroth as the only players to reach base in all eight games. McDearmon has also compiled two or more hits in five of the eight games and is batting .361 with team-highs in runs (9) and runs batted in (10).
On the mound,
Mason Griffin leads the team with two wins in three appearances.
Isaac Hale picked up the third win and has pitched a team-high 10.0 innings with two starts. Hale has also recorded a team-high eight strikeouts.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Ouachita (3-3) enters the weekend after winning two of three games last weekend. The Tigers fell 8-7 to Fort Smith, then picked up wins over Missouri Western State (4-3) and Northwest Missouri State (8-6).
Aaron Studdard leads the Tigers with a .316 batting average and is also tied for the team lead in runs (4) and hits (6). Tyler Riebock follows with a .250 batting average and team-highs in home runs (3) and runs batted in (9).
Adam Bahoul leads OUA on the mound with a 1-0 record and 12.0 innings pitched in two starts this season. Bahoul pitched six shutout innings in Ouachita's 5-3 win over Henderson State. Noah Fowler is the top arm out of the bullpen for the Tigers, as he has posted a 1.17 earned run average in 7.2 innings of work.
