FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Arkansas Tech is 6-0 all-time against Southern Nazarene. The two teams have met every year since SNU joined the GAC in the 2013-14 season, with Tech twice shutting out the Crimson Storm in 2016 and 2017. The closest game in the series came during the 2018 season - a 24-10 Tech win.
- One of the most memorable moments in Tech history occured in Tech's 62-14 win over SNU in Bethany on September 3, 2015. After the tragic drowning death of Wonder Boys defensive lineman Zemaric Holt, Arkansas Tech left Holt's position open on the first play from scrimmage. SNU fumbled a reverse on the opening play, and the loose ball was recovered for an Arkansas Tech touchdown - a play that would go on to be highlighted on national news outlets and featured on Showtime's Inside The NFL.
- The Crimson Storm picked up their first win of the 2019 season two weeks ago - a 22-21 win over Southeastern Oklahoma in Bethany.
- Wallace Foote has led the Wonder Boys rushing attack, racking up 323 yards on the ground and averaging six yards per carry. Deon Simmons has found the end zone more than any other Wonder Boy with three scores.
- SNU's offense has struggled to find its footing at times this year. The Crimson Storm have averaged just 10.4 points per game and 243 yards of total offense. However, the team's struggles have not come as a result of turnovers. SNU ranks 13th nationally and third in the GAC in turnovers lost - with just five this season.
