Arkansas Tech holds a 21-11 record all time against Lyon, a series that began in 1950. The Scots took this season's earlier meeting, however, defeating the Wonder Boys 8-6 in Batesville.Â

Arkansas Tech (23-13, 16-8 GAC) is coming off its seventh consecutive conference-series victory, winning two of three games against Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant on Sunday and Monday. The Wonder Boys currently sit in fourth in the Great American Conference standings.Â
Mark Vaughn led Tech with nine hits and six runs batted in in the three-game series against Southeastern over the weekend. In Monday's doubleheader, Vaughn was a combined 8-for-9 at the plate over the two games, including three home runs in game one. This season, Riley Hickerson is batting a .362 in all 36 games, and he leads the team with 50 hits, 33 runs scored and 41 runs batted in. Korey Thompson has played in 25 games and has a .377 batting average.
Arkansas Tech started Michael Mueller, Hayes Cox and Layton Robinson on the mound over the weekend. Zack Kesterson follows with six starts this season and 39.2 innings pitched, and Degan Harte has pitched 25.0 innings in four starts and six relief appearances.Â

Lyon (29-8) is currently ranked 12th in the NAIA Baseball Top 25 Poll, and the Scots have won 12 of their last 13 games. In this season's earlier matchup between Tech and Lyon, the Scots recorded 11 hits, including a 3-for-4 day with three runs batted in for Gunner Starr.Â
Lyon is hitting .312 as a team this season, led by Kylan Barnett's .400 batting average. Barnett leads the Scots with three triples and five home runs, while Kyle West has batted in a team-high 39 runs. Five regular starters for Lyon are currently hitting above .300.
Cole Jenkins started on the mound for the Scots in this season's previous game against Arkansas Tech, while Reese Chovanec went 3.1 innings for the win, and Tyson Campbell picked up the save. Campbell has pitched a team-high 75.2 innings, and Jenkins has a 3-1 record and 7.09 earned-run average in 33.0 innings pitched.Â
