SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS

Arkansas Tech (8-6, 3-3 GAC) is coming off a three-game series against Northwestern Oklahoma in Alva, in which the Wonder Boys won two of three games. After two weekends of GAC play, Tech is tied for sixth in the conference standings.

Dylan McDearmon led the Wonder Boys with six hits, two triples, last weekend in Alva. Riley Hickerson batted in seven runs during the three-game series, including six RBI in his last two games combined. Hickerson leads Tech with a .400 batting average this season, and he has reached base in all 14 games.

Michael Mueller led Tech's pitching staff with 7.0 innings on the mound last weekend to earn his first win as a Wonder Boy. Mueller tied a season-high with nine strikeouts and walked just one batter. Hayes Cox leads the starting pitchers with a 2.25 earned-run average in four starts this season, and Jared Droll has pitched 7.2 innings in four relief appearances without allowing a run.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS

Ouachita (4-12, 1-5 GAC) enters the weekend having lost six of its last seven games. The Tigers dropped a non-conference midweek decision to Henderson State on Tuesday, after losing two of three to Southern Nazarene in Arkadelphia last weekend.

Tyler Riebock is batting a team-high .333 in 15 starts this season. Riebock also leads the Tigers with three home runs, 16 runs batted in and a .549 slugging percentage. John Franklin Matros has started four games on the mound and pitched a team-high 23.0 innings while maintaining a 2.74 earned-run average. Brandon Matros leads Ouachita's bullpen with 11.0 innings pitched and a 1.64 ERA.
