WONDER BOYS HOST TIGERS IN SENIOR DAY TILT

Tech vs. ECU Game Notes - 1990s Edition

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.
- The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys football team will close the home portion of its 2018 schedule on Saturday, Nov. 2., hosting East Central in a 2 p.m. matchup inside Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.

The game will be broadcast live on KCJC (102.3-FM) in Russellville, with live audio, video, and statistics available at www.arkansastechsports.com.

Arkansas Tech will honor its 20 seniors in a pregame ceremony beginning at 1:30 p.m., with the school also celebrating Military Appreciation Day and hosting Band Member for a Day.

The Wonder Boys (3-6, 3-6 Great American Conference) are coming off a 10-6 win at Southeastern Oklahoma that saw the Tech defense hold the Savage Storm to under 300 yards, and saw the special teams unit force Southeastern Oklahoma to start multiple possessions deep in its own territory. Eight of Southeastern's 12 drives in the contest started inside their own 20-yard line, with seven of those drives beginning inside the 10. Meanwhile, Tech's worst starting field position in the game was on its own 20.

The Tech win snapped a four-game skid.

East Central (2-7, 2-7) enters the game on a four-game skid and has suffered lopsided setbacks the last two weeks. ECU's last win was an 18-11 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma; but in the four games since, the Tigers have been outscored 145-33, falling last week to No. 23 Harding, 49-7.

Tech closes its 2018 season on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Harding.
