ALL-TIME SERIES
Arkansas Tech leads the all-time series against UAM, 99-42. The Weevils won three of five games played last season, however, including a 4-3 victory over the Wonder Boys in the Great American Conference Tournament.
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Arkansas Tech (16-10, 12-3 GAC) is coming off a three-game series with Southern Nazarene last weekend, in which the Wonder Boys won two games. Tech currently sits in second in the GAC standings, two games behind Southern Arkansas.
Zach Klockowski leads Tech's offense with a team-high .352 batting average. Klockowski ranks second in the GAC in home runs and runs batted in, while his .692 slugging percentage is third best in the conference.
Dylan McDearmon is batting .351 this season and has reached base in 25 consecutive games. He also leads the conference with 13 doubles.
Quentin Bowling leads the Wonder Boys pitching staff with a 1.42 earned-run average in 12.2 innings this season. He recorded two saves last weekend against Southern Nazarene and has allowed just two earned runs in six appearances.
Isaac Hale has appeared in nine games this season, including three starts, and he has struck out 15 batters in 20 innings.
SCOUTING THE BOLL WEEVILS
Arkansas-Monticello (14-10, 11-3 GAC) enters the game after a three-game sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma State last weekend. The Weevils outscored the Rangers, 25-6, in the series, including a 9-0 shutout victory to open the weekend. UAM sits a half-game behind Arkansas Tech in the GAC standings.
Nick Piraino paces UAM with a .355 batting average this season. Sean Wagner follows with a .341 average and a team-high 22 runs batted in. Four Weevils are currently hitting at least .330 this season, while UAM ranks third in the GAC with a .292 team batting average.
Landon McFadden has appeared in a team-high 12 games for the Boll Weevils, pitching 17.0 innings while recording one win and one save. Dawson Moser has pitched just nine innings this season but leads UAM with three saves and has maintained a 2.00 ERA. In UAM's last midweek contest, the Weevils defeated Harding, 8-1, behind 5.0 innings and one run allowed from Jared Libke.
