RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys baseball team will open the home portion of its 2017 schedule on Friday, Feb. 10, opening a three-game set with Missouri Western at Tech Field. Friday's first pitch is set for 6 p.m., with Saturday's doubleheader set for a noon start.
SCOUTING THE WONDER BOYS
Tech enters its home opener with a record of 1-3, having dropped three straight after winning its season opener at St. Mary's.
Zach Klockowski is leading the Wonder Boys with a .500 batting average, and along with
Kyle Love, leads the team with five RBIs.
Blake Sullivan picked up the win in Tech's season opener, firing 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.Â
SCOUTING THE GRIFFONS
Missouri Western also enters Friday's game with a 1-3 mark, having fallen to Southern Arkansas (5-4), Oklahoma Christian (15-5), and Lubbock Christian (5-2) before taking a 14-4 win over Newman. Nick Gawley and Ryan Smith have led the way offensively, as Gawley (.563) and Smith (.538) have provided the punch while Dustin Agnew (1-0, 1.50) has been the top pitcher in the early season.Â
