RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (4-6) are set to open Great American Conference action, as they will host Ouachita Baptist (2-6) for a three-game weekend series at Tech Field. The Wonder Boys will open the series on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. and then play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 19 with the first game starting at 1 p.m.

COMING INTO THE GAMEEarlier this week, Arkansas Tech dropped a home game to Delta State 15-3 on Feb. 16. This week, Ouachita Baptist dropped a pair of home games, first to Missouri Western 5-2 on Feb. 14 and then a midweek home game to Central Baptist 18-6 on Feb. 16.

TERRIFIC TRANSFERSThe Wonder Boys are getting some strong offensive production from some of the new faces to the Arkansas Tech team this season. Junior catcher/first baseman
Kaleb Warden leads the team with a .390 batting average and is second on the team in RBIs. Junior outfielder
Parker O'Dell is second on the team with a .381 batting average as well as leads the team with 11 RBIs and senior outfielder
Josh Watkins is third on the team with a .368 average leads the team in extra base hits with six.

FAST LANEJunior relief pitcher
Lane Norwood is providing an early spark out of the Wonder Boys bullpen this season. Norwood has appeared in five games and pitched 7-2/3 innings of relief, giving up a 1.17 ERA with two walks and seven strikeouts.
CAN'T STEAL FROM THE KINGBase runners have found it challenging to steal on sophomore catcher
Blake King. So far this season, King has thrown out six of seven runners that have tried to steal on him. King has been stout on defense, recording just one error in the first 10 games for a .982 fielding percentage.
