Tech/Harding Game Notes
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys football team will close its 2016 season with its toughest challenge to date, as Tech (6-4) travels to Searcy, Ark. for its season finale against No. 5 Harding (10-0) this Saturday, November 12.
The Wonder Boys have clinched a winning season for the second consecutive season, and will look to pick up consecutive wins over the Bisons for the first time since the 2008-2009 seasons. Last season, the Wonder Boys rallied from a 24-10 fourth-quarter deficit to capture a 27-24 win over the Bisons and advance to the postseason.Â
This year, the Bisons have run roughshod over the opposition, racking up a Division II-best 384.8 yards per game, while allowing a nation-best 11.6 points per game.Â
The matchup between Harding's stellar rush offense and Tech's stingy rush defense will provide for an interesting contest. The Wonder Boys surrender just 117.7 yards per game - third-best in the GAC, while allowing just 3.2 yards per play.Â
The game will be carried locally on 102.3-FM (KCJC) in Russellville. Live audio, video, and statistics are available at www.arkansastechsports.com.
