GOLDEN SUNS SET FOR WEEKEND PLAY

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Arkansas Tech Golden Suns volleyball team (3-2) will ride a two-match winning streak into this weekend's Scott Jones Classic hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Golden Suns will play three matches at TNU, opening Friday against Mount Olive (4 p.m.) and Oakland City (6 p.m.) before facing tournament host Trevecca Nazarene in a 2 p.m. matchup Sunday.

Tech has been led thus far by Emily Todd and Kaylee Konsella on offense. Todd's 3.58 kills per set lead the Golden Suns, while Konsella has averaged 3.08 kills per set on the strength of a .300 hitting percentage. Redshirt freshman McCall Wilkins has also been solid on the offensive side, averaging 2.69 kills per set with a .271 hitting percentage.

Sierra Nighswonger and Alyssa Kool have been effective setters, with Nighswonger averaging 7.11 assists per set and Kool averaging 4.56. Defensively, freshman Madison Nagel has 5.56 digs per set in the early going.
